A: You are allowed to have 4 pet animals in any combination of dogs and cats per city address.

Q: When does my pet need to be vaccinated for rabies?

A: All cats and dogs 6 months of age and older must be vaccinated for rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Your veterinarian can advise you of a vaccination schedule.

Q: Does my cat have to be licensed with the City?

A: Yes, all cats and dogs 6 months old and older must be licensed with the City. A rabies vaccination tag is NOT a City license. To purchase a City license, please bring your pet's current rabies certificate to the Delta Police Department to license your pet.

Q: I need help with spaying my pet, who does this?

A: Unfortunately the City of Delta is unable to assist the public at this time with spay/neuters. You can contact C.A.W.S. at 970-361-8600 and/or the Delta County Humane Society at 970-874-2149 for assistance.
